The Cellar Series at Lake House - Best's Great Western Lunch
Saturday 23rd June / 12pm - 4pm
Located 118 km from Lake House
A special four course lunch with wines from the iconic Best’s Great Western.
Hosted by Winemaker Justin Purser & Lake House Beverage Director Robin Wilson in the beautiful Waterfront Pavilion.
With their first beginnings in 1866, Best's Great Western boasts a historic collection of Australia's oldest and most significant vineyards. For more than 150 years, they have been proudly producing world-class wines in Victoria’s Great Western region.
As one of Australia’s oldest and continuously family-owned and operated wineries, Best's crafts extraordinary and iconic wines of elegance and longevity.
All aspects of the winemaking are handled on site, allowing the winemaker to have full control over quality. Best's is dedicated to excellence on the vine as well as in the winery.
Despite the respect for the traditional winemaking practices that have been part of Best’s story for more than a century, there have been amazing transformations over the years – winemakers have joined the extended family, styles have come and gone, and technology has brought about efficiency in the winery. But Best’s goal has always been to grow amazing Great Western fruit and make classic wines in the Great Western style...
Wine maker Justin Purser joined the family owned estate in 2012 after extensive experience across Australia, New Zealand and at Domaine de Montille in Burgundy.
